SUSAN CLEARY SIMS

Services for Susan Cleary Sims of Whitehouse will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 8, 2008 at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Reverend Kevin Burdette and Mr. Terry Brannon officiating. Susan passed away Thursday, September 4, 2008 at Trinity Mother Francis Hospital after complications from surgery.

Susan was the beautiful, charismatic first-born daughter of Eddie and Clay Cleary. She was known for her incredible sense of humor, her compassion for others and her strong love for her family and friends.

Susan married Calvin Sims on August 30, 1985 and together they had two wonderful sons, Jacob and Clayton. Her boys were the light of her life. Recently, she was blessed with a grandson, Maddox Sims, who stole her heart and brought her much joy.

Susan was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church and a faithful daughter to her Lord. She was also a committed wife, mother and grandmother, a loving mother in-law, a devoted daughter and one of the best big sisters who ever walked the earth.

Susan is survived by her husband, Calvin Sims; sons Jacob and Clayton; daughter in-law Cherie Sims and grandson Maddox Sims. She is also survived by her mother, Clay Cleary; sisters Caren Cleary Scroggins and her family and Jeanie Cleary Fifer and her family; parents-inlaw Jack and Alice Sims and sister-in-law Debbie Brasher. Additionally, she is survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and friends whom she loved dearly.

Susan was preceded in death by her beloved daddy, Eddie Cleary.

The family wishes to thank all of those who prayed without cease for her recovery. The thoughts and prayers have been greatly appreciated.

The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore Sunday afternoon from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m.
