MAY I ASSIST YOU, MADAME?

With a week under their belts, parents are getting more accustomed to using the student drop-off area on the west side of Kilgore Heights Elementary School, according to Duane Dean, principal. Bonnie Sistrunk was hired as the new crossing guard and in the morning she helps students out of vehicles at the drop off and in the afternoon helps students cross the street in front of Heights where their parents pick them up. Sistrunk said parents are allowed to escort their children into the building only through the front visitors entrance of the school. Pictured, Sistrunk helps a student out of a vehicle at the new drop off and the student then heads up the covered ramp to the main building.
