MATTIE LOIS GILLIS NELSON

Services for Mattie Nelson, 78, of Henderson, formerly of Kilgore, will be at a latter date. Ms. Nelson died Tuesday, September 2, 2008 in Henderson.

She was born July 25, 1930 in Houston, to A.B. and Claude Gillis. Ms. Nelson attended Kilgore Public Schools and was graduate of Kilgore High School. She was a Rangerette at Kilgore College and worked in the space and shipping industry.

She survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Diann Nelson of Leverett's Chapel; a sister Lou Gillis Lacy of Mississippi; several nices and nephews.

Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by her daugher, Karen June Nelson; parents; brothers, A.B. Gillis Jr., and C.E. "Buddy" Gillis.
