MARTHA R. DOSS MUMPHREY Funeral services for Martha R. Doss Mumphrey, 50 of Kilgore, are set for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008 at Faith Tabernacle Of God In Christ, 1309 Hwy 31, Kilgore. With Supt. Nathaniel Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Post Oak Cemetery, Hwy 42, in Kilgore. Under the direction of Cunningham Funeral Home. A wake will be held Friday, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. She was born March 26, 1958 in Kilgore, to the late Jimmy Doss and Ruby Jewel Doss Britton. She graduated from Sabine High School and attended Kilgore College. She was a member of Post Oak Baptist Church and lthe Holy Chapel Church OGIC. and worked in the State Jurisdiction Women's Department. Preceding her in death were her parents, and brother Kenneth Doss. Her presence will be missed by her husband; Larry Mumphrey, Kilgore;.three sons; Shannon Doss, El Paso, Randall Doss, Austin, Joseph Mumphrey, Kilgore; four sisters; Evelyn Cooper, Oakland, CA. Glenda Johnson, Kilgore, Marilyn Doss, San Leandro, CA. Jean Webster, Slayton, five brothers; Bobby Johnson, Longview, Robert Johnson (Velma), Forney, Charles Doss, Austin, Donald Doss, Dallas, Jimmy Doss, Slayton, one grandson; two uncles; one aunt; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 16, 1927 in Kilgore, o the late Melvin and Sedalia Ashley. The family was faithful members of Harmony Pirtle Church. Mr. Ashley graduated from C. B. Dansby High School. He worked for Kilgore Ceramics, Rudy Thrower as a mechanic at Rudy's Gulf, and First Presbyterian Church until he retired. His three daughters, Cheryl Ashley of Desoto, Debbie Ashley Johnson of Longview, and Angela Ashley Ingram of Longview; and a brother, Eugene Ashley of Longview; and Bernice Arnold, a companion of thirty years survive Mr. Ashley.
