KISD STUDENTS SHOW FOR FFA AND 4H

(photo) Kilgore Independent School District students attended the Waskom FFA Jackpot show in Marshall on Saturday, August 23. From left to right: Sydni Borders, Chelsi Borders, Rachel Wright, Monte Broussard, Trevor O'Quinn, Marina Linkenhoker, and Natalie O'Quinn with their respective lambs and goat. The Borders & O'Quinn's are members of the Rusk County 4H, Wright & Broussard are members of the Tatum 4H, and Linkenhoker is a member of the Kilgore High School FFA. The days events were judged by Mr. Phil Stacy of Oktaha, OK and had a 70% payback in each class. Pigs were also featured in the days events, in addition to the goats and lambs shown by Kilgore kids. The next show for these students and their animals will be the Halsville FFA Jackpot Show on September 6th at the Longview Fair Grounds. The group would like to thank Charles & Ann Taylor for their generous support in shearing, hauling, grooming, and showing these animals! Charles Taylor is the Agricultural instructor at Kilgore High School. (photo) Kilgore Independent School District students attended the Waskom FFA Jackpot show in Marshall on Saturday, August 23.
