CLIFTON BEAVERS

Services for Clifton Beavers, 95, of Kansas City, were Saturday, August 30, 2008 at Holly Spring Baptist Church in Mt. Enterprise, with Rev's J.T. Harris, Johnnie Johnson, and Bobbie Griggs officiating. Burial followed at Beavers Family Cemetery in Mt. Enterprise, under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Henderson.

Mr. Beavers passed away August 21, 2008 in Kansas City, Mo. He was born July 24, 1913 in Mt. Enterprise.

He was proceeded in death by his wife, Louise Franklin Beavers, one sister, Christine Wright, and brother, S.T. Beavers.

Survivors include two daughters, Dr. Carolyn (Willie C.) Hill, of Lees Summit, Mo., Dr. Gloria Jean Beavers, Esq. of Houston; one granddaugher, two great-grandchildren; five sisters, Lurlean Harris of Tyler, Ela Mangrum of El Paso, Bernestine Smith of Baytown, Mary Evelyn Senderson of Montgomery, Marie Johnson of Montgomery; one brother, Marcelou "Pete" Beavers of Tyler; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Pallbearers were Webster Beavers, Calvin Lamon Davis, Sherrod Ellis, John Nichols, Jesse Senderson, Rudolph Wright.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer Disease Foundation.
