Budget to be set Tuesday for KISD

Kilgore school board will meet for their monthly session Tuesday night at the school administration building located at 301 N. Kilgore St.

A presentation will be made regarding the new 2008/2009 fiscal year budget and the KISD board of trustees will them vote for the adoption of the new budget.

Also on the agenda, the board will vote to approve ordinance levying maintenance and operation/ interest and sinking tax rate per $100 valuation for 2008.

The board will also be voting to change the regular monthly meeting of the board of trustees from Tuesday night to Monday night.

Other information items on the agenda are school accountability ratings, school enrollment, proposed corrections and changes to board policies. The board will also discuss a proposed agreement that would allow a gas well top be drilled at the ag farm.

KISD board meetings are open to the public and board members encourage the public to attend.
