ANNIE RUTH ENGLISH WHEAT WILLIAMS

Funeral Services for Annie Ruth English Wheat Williams, 85, of the Steber Grove Community, Kilgore, are scheduled for 12:00 PM, Monday, August 25, 2008 at St. John Baptist Church, Steber Grove community, Kilgore with Revs. Edgar Tatum, Jr., J. C. Watkins and Larry Jackson officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Kilgore under the direction of Jenkins-Garmon Funeral Home.

Annie Ruth English Wheat Williams passed away, Wednesday, August 20, 2008 in Henderson. She was born February 18, 1923 in Sweetwater, to Johnnie Mae Washington.

Annie attended the Steber Grove public schools and C. B. Dansby High School, Kilgore. She was a member of St. John Baptist Church.

Annie Ruth English united in Holy Matrimony to Wallace Wheat and to this union three children were born, two preceded her in death. Annie had one sister, Roberta Dudley Wheat who preceded her in death.

She is survived by one daughter, Earnestine Jackson and Willie, Henderson; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; four greatgreat grandchildren; daughter in-law, Wilma Wheat, Kilgore; a special son, Michael and Liz Kerr, Kilgore, many other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers are Ralph Steber, Kente Bell, Lee Hamilton, Reginald Bell, Leslie Smith, Jerome Towns, Johnny Dudley and Rickey Williams.

The public viewing will be held from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, August 24, 2008 at the funeral home.
