ACT scores down, more students college ready
Average scores on the ACT college entrance exam dipped slightly for the high school class of 2008 as the number of students taking the exam jumped by 9 percent compared to last year. Texas Comptroller Susan Combs reminds Texans that the annual sales tax holiday brings savings on clothing and shoes this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 15-17.
