Irvin and Frances to celebrate 70 years together

Irvin and Frances Flash Frances (91) and Irvin (97) Flash of Longview will be celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary August 12, 2008. They were married August 12, 1938 in Bruni, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Fiench.

Irvin and Frances met in 1936 in Freer. Irvin worked the evening shift in the oil fields and would spend his nights sipping coffee at the local ice cream and coffee shop where the couple met. They dated for two years before getting married on August 12, 1938.

Irvin served in WWII and is retired from the Oilfield at the age of 65.

The have two children, Larry Flash and Linda Davis, five grandchildren, Jill Davis, Kris Davis, Stephen Jeffrey Davis Caolyn Angello and Lisa Annan, and six great-grandchildren.

The couple currently live in Longview.
