JOE LAMB

Services for Joe Lamb, 48, of Gilmer will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 24, 2008 at St. Lukes United Methodist Church with the Reverend John Burton and Mike Schutz officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Longview. Mr. Lamb died Sunday, July 20, 2008 in Tyler.

He was born in Kilgore, Texas. Joe was a third generation pyrotechnician who lived in East Texas most of his life. Joe was a graduate of Sabine High School, Kilgore College and the University of Texas at Tyler. He was a successful businessman with Lamb Entertainment and Pyrotechnics By Lamb. Joe enjoyed providing entertainment to the East Texas area for the last 30 years. Mr. Lamb was very happily employed at Associated Training Services of Texas. Joe was a giving man who loved his family and many friends. His giving carried on even through his death by donating organs so others may live.

Mr. Lamb is survived by his fiancé, Cindy Burton Mosby of Rockwall; his mother, Mary Lamb of Liberty City; sisters, Crystal Lamb of Spring, Texas, Rachel Gilbreath and her husband, Mike of Gilmer; daughter of his heart, Molly Mosby of Rockwall; nephews, Adam Gilbreath of Rowlett, Logan Gilbreath of Gilmer, and Nicholas Knox Lamb of Spring, Texas.

The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home of Kilgore Wednesday evening between six and eight p.m.
