KBBA 14's eliminated

ALL-STAR BASEBALL

After a great run this summer, the Kilgore Boys Baseball Association's 14- year-old all-star team bowed out on Saturday night in Dayton, losing a pair of games to Paris in the age group's state championship game.

That means Paris will represent Texas in the Dixie 14-yearold World Series in Georgia in August.

"We're sick about it," coach Mark Dickey said, "but these kids had a heck of a run."

Paris beat Kilgore in two games, a best-of-three format that decided the Texas representative to the World Series. Kilgore had beaten Livingston on Thursday night last week to cap the south zone title after a grueling tournament, also played in Dayton.

The team was coached by Dickey, Jeff Nestleroad and Marcus Dixon. Members of the team were Deontre Williams, Ryan Dixon, Kaleb Brisendine, Matthew Dickey, Mason Nestleroad, Jerrick Massenburge, Colton Slayter, Riley Toler, Shawn Williams, Tevin Alexander, and Dakota Pierce.
