Don't expect a reduction in the city's tax rate next year. That was the word from the city manager when Kilgore City Council met in an off-week workshop to discuss the budget for the coming fiscal year. Kilgore's tax rate is 46 cents per $100 valuation and will likely remain there, according to Jeff Howell.
