KC graduates prepare to receive diplomas tonight
      A number of local students are among the more than 250 graduates who will pick up Kilgore College diplomas Friday. This year for the first time KC has split its commencement exercises into two ceremonies because of the number of graduates.

MLMS students do well in Annual District Science Fair
      Tonia Loper said her 8th grade Gifted and Talented Class presented their Science Fair Projects to the students of Kilgore Intermediate School and Maude Laird Middle School yesterday. Loper said the District Science Fair was held on February 27th in Tyler on the campus of Tyler Junior College.

KC offers Science Investigation Camp
      Kilgore College will hold a Science Investigation Summer Day Camp June 9-12, offered to students entering the eighth and ninth grades. Students will view staged crime scenes and try to solve them using chemistry and biology lab techniques. The students will learn all about DNA samples, analysis, fingerprinting and hair and fiber testing.

      MONDAY KHS CHEER SUPPORT GROUP will meet Monday, May 12 at 6:30 in the Kilgore High School cafeteria. All who are interested are welcomed. TUESDAY THE WHITE OAK ALZHEIMER'S SUPPORT GROUP will continue showing the DVD "Creating Family Moments" at the next meeting on May 13. The meeting is held at the Community of Christ at 612 N. White Oak Rd.
