Britney Barton and Cody Kirk Randy and Linda Barton of Overton are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Britney Paige Barton, to Cody Maine Kirk of Gladewater, son of John and Rhonda Kirk of Longview.

Britney's grandparents are Becky and the late Travis Barton of Lake Cherokee; the late Melvin and Shirley Ard of Overton; and the late John and Juanita Wright of Overton.

Cody's grandparents are Irene and the late Bobby Kirk of Kilgore; Kash and Wanda Lambeth of Henderson.

The bride elect graduated from Leverett's Chapel High School in 2006 and is currently a junior pursuing a Master's Degree in Accounting at the University of Texas at Tyler. The prospective groom graduated from Leverett's Chapel High School in 2005 and is currently the Assistant Manager at Amigo's Equipment Corporation in Kilgore.

The ceremony is planned for Saturday, June 28, 2008 at The Light House Church of Liberty City.
