Meadowbrook preschool looking to its future

The Meadowbrook Preschool & Children's Center held their Texas Day Celebration on Friday by starting their day with the pledges to the American & Texas flags, followed by a Stick horse trailride led by a miniature horse,"Callie" and her owner Morgan Cox. The events included barrel racing with stick horses, calf roping, cow milking, tortilla toss, and boot relay. The children and staff also enjoyed line dancing, and a stuffed animal Livestock Show.

During the month of March, the children learned about our great state of Texas. They did art projects, food experiences, and more.

Meadowbrook Preschool is a private preschool for children 6 weeks to Pre-Kindergarten. The school opened in Jan. 2007 and is already full. There is currently a waiting list for all ages.

The school anticipates expansion in the near future. The expansion will include areas for afterschool care and more space for preshool classes. The school may also provide a private Kindergarten.

The preschool is owned by Brenda & Gary C. Davis. The Administrator is Michelle Gregg. The Director is Tonnie Harvey. The Assistant Director

The lead teachers in the preschool classes all have their Preschool Certifications. All of the staff is CPR & First-Aid Certified.

The hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday thru Friday. A christian preschool curriculam is taught between the hours of 8:45am and 12:00 p.m. The school is open for tours during business hours. Tours are discouraged during the children's naptime which varries by class. Some classes go down for nap at noon and all classes are awake by 3 p.m.
