Longview-Kilgore Cable service was down for more than six hours yesterday after an oil field service company broke the main cable serving Kilgore Service was interrupted from 3 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Chuck Launius, president for the cable company, said a company erecting a rig snagged the main fiber optic cable at approximately 3 p.m. The cable is an overhead line.
