DOROTHY SCROGGINS

Services for Mrs. Dorothy Scroggins, 87, of Kilgore will be held 10 A.M. Friday, October 5, 2007 at Forest Home Baptist Church with Reverend Earl "Buddy" Duggins officiating. Graveside services will be held 3 P.M. Friday at Sunset Cemetery in Nacogdoches. Mrs. Scroggins passed away Tuesday in a Longview hospital.

Dorothy Scroggins was born Sept. 28, 1920, daughter of the late Clarence and Edna Gunn. Mrs. Scroggins was a homemaker and foster mother to many children. Mrs. Scroggins was a member of Forest Home Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Glenda Ward and husband Bill Ward of Kilgore, Norma Gibbs of Deer Park; stepdaughter, Mildred Rhinehart of Austin; sister, Edna Earl Price of Purdon; 14 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Scroggins was preceded in death by her husband, Elton Scroggins; son, William Lynn York; brothers, William "Pete" Gunn and Dwayne Gunn; sisters, Mayceil Cox, Eloise Bosley, Julia Mae Rae and Myrtle Marie Hairell.

The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home Thursday from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M.
