MAUDELLE NIXON

Graveside services for Maudelle Nixon, 97, of Kilgore will be 2 P.M., Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at the Rusk County Memorial Gardens with Reverend Heather Williamsen officiating. Mrs. Nixon died Sunday, August 5, 2007 in Kilgore, Texas.

She was born March 24, 1910 in Rochelle, Louisiana. The Nixons moved to Kilgore in 1936. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker who enjoyed flower gardening, canning vegetables, sewing and cooking.

Mrs. Nixon is survived by her son Thomas Earl Nixon of Kilgore; five grandchildren, Linda Sartor and her husband Tom of Kilgore, Lesle Williams and her husband Brian of Longview, Danny Nixon of Rowlett, Lisa McGaw and her husband John Gelder of Stillwater, Oklahoma, David Nixon of Kilgore; eight great-grandchildren.
