BISHOP PERFORMS CONFIRMATIONS AT CHRIST THE KING CATHOLIC CHURCH

On Saturday at 5 p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church a confirmation of 42 of its congregation took place.Performing the confirmations was Most Rev. Alvaro Corrada del Rio, S. J., Bishop from the Diocese of Tyler.Rev. Matias Rodriguez, parish administrator at Christ the King Church said this ceremony is performed by the Bishop once a year in two separate ceremonies.Also present for the ceremony were Rev. Michael J. Adams, parochial vicar, Alejandro Cisneros, deacon, Dennis Gilchrist, deacon and Michael Heslin, deacon.The confirmation ceremony which lasted almost two hours involved both children and adults and was done in both Spanish and English.
