MATTHEW BRANDON REED

Services for Matthew Brandon Reed, 23, of Kilgore will be two p.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at the First Baptist Church with the Reverend David Hampton officiating. Burial will follow in the Kilgore Cemetery. Matt died Monday, March 26, 2007 as the result of an oilfield accident.

He was born July 15, 1983 in Longview, Texas. Matt was a 2001 graduate of Plano Senior High School where he was the Captain of the Football Team and played varsity Baseball. He was a graduate of Austin College where he played football for four years and was named player of the year during his senior year. Matthew loved his family and friends and was partial to kids and dogs. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a leader among his peers.

Matt is survived by his father, David Reed and his wife Marsha of Lafayette, Louisiana; his mother, Lisa Hayman of Dallas; girlfriend, Lindsey Phillips of Big Spring, Texas; brothers, Cody Bragg of Dallas, Zac Bragg of Cleveland, Mississippi, Chris Bragg of Kilgore, Ovie Reeves of Okinawa, Japan, Christopher Parks of Tyler; grandparents, Doyle Reed of Longview, Ramona Maxwell of Kilgore; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home Tuesday evening between seven and nine p.m.

Pallbearers are to be, Chris Bragg, Shea Reed, Symon Foster, Seth Foster, Cody Bragg and Zac Bragg.
