I am the one who always is "...just tell them 'I Am' has sent me to you." Exodus 3:14 I love to refer to our God as, I Am. That name says it all! It's clear...it's direct...it's full of confidence! Gary Walker, when he preached for us at the CommunityWide Thanksgiving service, reminded us that if we're down—God's name is Encouragement; if we're lost— His name is Direction; if we're sick—His name is Healer. What a great God we serve! A couple of days ago I read the following testimony concerning one local family and the great I Am. Their baby was diagnosed with Tuberous Sclerosis this past summer. This is a rare disease that causes tumors to grow in the brain and on other vital organs such as heart, eyes, and lungs. It commonly affects the central nervous system. Let me share this incredible story with you: We can definitely say that 2005 has been the most challenging year of our lives. But God is awesome and I can't imagine going through this trial without Him. We thank you for your prayers for our sweet baby. Thanks for believing with us that he was healed even though we didn't see the manifestations of his healing until recently. Hebrews 11:1 says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." We've truly had to stand on faith because we were not seeing a thing until November 21st. On that Monday our baby woke up a completely different baby! He pushed himself up, looked at me (which he has never had much eye contact with anyone or anything), smiled and began to laugh! I took him downstairs and laid him on his blanket. I put some toys in front of him, which i did every day, and for the first time he reached out and grabbed the toys and put them in his mouth. That night he stayed awake until 4 a.m. playing and laughing in his bed and holding his hands out in front of his face while he turned then in all directions! He hasn't slept much since that day. We're so excited, that we don't even care (before Nov. 21 he slept around 19 hrs a day)! A little more information...he hasn't has a seizure since that time as well! Glory to God!! Folks, as we start out again in this coming year, let me remind you that our God is still in the miracle working business! He still specializes in things thought impossible, and He can do what no other can do! I pray that you will trust Him in all life's situations and let Him meet all your needs, because He's really the One who always is! Blessings,
