Opal Bostick honored on her centennial birthday with party

A 100th birthday celebration honoring Opal Bostick will be Saturday, Jan. 14 at the Kilgore Community House from 1 p.m. till 4 p.m. She was born Jan. 12, 1906 in Hale County near Plainview at her grandmother Akers home. She is a retired LVN and worked at Laird Memorial Hospital and Gregg home for several years. Friends and relatives are invited to attend.
Hosting the event will be her daughter and son-in-law, Paul and Betsy Robertson; also grandchildren: Debbie and Steve Boles, Darla and Mark Bailey, and Sheri Johns.
Her great-grandchildren are Trey and Carolyn Bayless, Jaime Bailey, Justin Johns, Brian and Katherine Bailey, Matt and Amanda Green, Sarah Bailey and Cory Johns. She has 3 greatgreat grandsons; Mason Skiles, Jason and Jacob Bayless.
