Sami Nicole Clayton and Brian Keith Etheredge of Plano, were married in a candlelit, double-ring ceremony November 12, 2005 at 5 p.m. at Summit II of Longview. The ceremony was led by Minister Robert Besser.
Sami is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jackie Clayton of Kilgore and granddaughter of Mrs. Jeanie Walker and the late Johnny Walker, Mrs. Jean Clayton and the late Dr. Jack Clayton, all of Kilgore. The bride is a 1997 graduate of Kilgore H.S. and a 2001 graduate of Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos with a bachelor of business administration in finance. She is currently employed by Bank of America as a Trust Officer.
Brian is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Etheredge Jr. and grandson of Mr and Mrs. William Hugh Etheredge Sr., the late Mr. and Mrs. Manford L. Williams. The groom is a 1995 graduate of Longview H.S. and received a bachelor of business administration in finance in 2001 from Southwest Texas State University. He is currently employed by Countrywide Home Loans as a Loan Officer.
The ceremony decorations were birds of paradise, palm trees, Asiatic Lillies, provided by Pam and Darlene of Kilgore.
Special music was provided by cousin of the bride, Lauren Walker, who played flute as well as vocalist, Cyndi Walker, aunt of the bride. The first dance was led to “Steady as We Go” by Dave Matthews Band.
The bride, given away in marriage by her father, was attired in a one piece strapless chiffon, A-line gown with a corset back by Maggie Sottero. The bodice and corset back were ornamented with ruched chiffon diagonally placed revealing encrusted crystals. The double chiffon skirt is softly draped at the side hip creating voluminous folds at the hem.
Serving as maid of honor was Maggie Crim of Plano. Bridesmaids were Caryn Smith of Chicago, Bethany Chisler of Austin, Amy Norwood of Dallas, Tanya Foster of Waco, and Jessica Hargrave of Dallas. Jr. Bridesmaid was Maranda Etheredge of Tulsa, OK.
Serving as best man was Scott Etheredge of Plano. Groomsmen were Ken Etheredge of Tulsa, OK, Scott Skinner of Dallas, Aaron Gary of Austin, Jeff Waggoner of Plano, Brock Miller of Austin and Josh Miley of Austin. Jr. Groomsman was Hunter Etheredge of Tulsa, OK.
Todd Clayton of San Marcos and Mark Pollick of Houston, served as ushers at the ceremony.
The bride’s guest book could be signed on a table laden with Cocktail linens with citron lamour and orange lamour wrap.
Guest tables were covered in Paprika Gold Crush linens with chairs of maize lamour and paprika gold ties. The Cocktail table were topped with Citron Lamour linens and orange lamour wrap.
Members of the houseparty were Lindsay Lawrence of Kilgore, Taylor Dennis of Kingwood, and Dani Dennis of Kingwood.
The bride’s table, covered in orange casablanca linens, featured a 3 layered white cake with birds of paradise coming up out of the middle. The groom’s table was topped with Citron Lamour linens and a chocolate e sombrero cake. Guests enjoyed shrimp and brisket tacos, quesadillas, jalapenio peppers, chicken and beef satae, all laid out on table with Maise Lamour linens.
The couple will be honeymooning with a trip to Aruba.
After the honeymoon, the newly-married couple will reside in Plano.
