ROBERT (BOB) RICHARDS WOOD

Services for Bob Wood, 76, of Tyler will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, 2006 at Lloyd James Funeral Home in Tyler with Rev. Harrison McLeod officiationg. Burial will follow in Memory Park in Longview. Mr. Wood died Jan. 5, 2006 in Tyler.

He was born in Longview June 1, 1929 and lived in Tyler since 1955.

He graduated from Longview High School, Kilgore Junior College, and Southem Methodist University. He was also a member of Christ Episcopal Church, served in the Navy during the Korean War, was a Mason and a Charter Member of Sharon Shrine Temple.

He was in life insurance business, served as president of the Tyler Association Of Life Underwriters, East Texas Chapter of Chartered Life Underwriters, East Texas General Agents and District Managers Association, and Briarwood Country Club.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie; three daughters, Janis and John Klein, Denver, CO., Nancy Wood, Los Angeles, CA., Robin and Bill Elder, Houston; four grandchildren; other relatives.

Pallbearers will be son-inlaws, John Klein, Bill Elder, Nephews, Corky Davis, Bill Davis, Ricky Davis, and grandson, Lindsey Shields.
