Bulbs ready for pick-up tomorrow

Jean Laird, a member of the Evergreen Garden Club, yesterday reminded volunteers that the city's daffodils bulbs are ready for pick-up.

Laird and Ronnie Spradlin, city commissioner, are leading a beautification project which will include planting as many as 10,000 daffodils around town. The city bought 5,000 Dutch Master daffodil bulbs and Spradlin and Laird bought an additional 5,000.

Laird said the bulbs should be picked up at East Texas Lumber during business hours tomorrow, October 26, or on Friday.

She said volunteers will be out in force, planting bulbs on Saturday, Nov. 4
