Kilgore Storm wins two in L'view tourney

KILGORE SOCCER ASSOCIATION REPORT

EDITOR'S NOTE: The following is a report from last weekend's action involving some players from the Kilgore Soccer Association and their participation in the Longview Fall Fest tournament. These were the only reports received from KSA this week.

The KSA plays its games Saturday mornings at the softball and soccer complex on Highway 135. This report comes from game sheets turned in to the Kilgore News Herald by the coaches of KSA teams. The reports should include the names of both teams involved in each game, the score (if kept), the coach's name, the team's sponsor (if there is one), and names of players who performed well. Names are printed in the newspaper the way they appear on the sheets. First and last names should be given, please.

Kilgore Storm wins two of three games: The Kilgore Storm, an under-8-year-old boys team coached by James Owens and Hector Peralez, won two out of three games played in the Longview Fall Fest last weekend.

Suiting up for the Storm: Jose Barrios, Jordi Conteras, Yonaton Conteras, Kobe Davis, Brandon Espinoza, Keinan Henry, Nolan Owens, Thomas Pennington, Benji Peralez, Jaedon Pratt and guest players Ren Reynolds and Jacob Mobbs.

In the first game, the Storm benefitted from goals scored by Mobbs, Owens, and Pennington, and played great on defense, holding the Longview Blasts scoreless.

In game two, Pratt scored four goals, Owens scored three and Contreras scored once. The team again played very well defensively, holding the Henderson Green Rocketts to two goals.

The third game saw Mobbs, Reynolds, Peralez, Owens and Espinoza combine for 11 shots on goal. The coaches commended the players for great effort on offense and defense, as they held the Longview Firebirds to three goals.
