Kilgore girl to sing with Linda Davis

Hundreds of thousands of votes came in last week for contestants in the 105.7 KYKX contest to sing in concert with Linda Davis, country artist, in Henderson.

When the polls closed Teresa Roberts of Kilgore had 56 percent of the vote; Tonyah Nichols also of Kilgore had 41 percent and Hallsville's Keri Johnson had the remaining 3 percent.

"I have to admit I am a little bit nervous," Roberts said. "This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. My thanks go out to everyone who voted for me. I am going to give it my all; I wouldn't have the chance if it were not for all of you."
