Lung specialist joins staff at Laird Memorial Hospital
Dr. David Coultas David B. Coultas, MD, chairman of the Department of Medicine at The University of Texas Health Center at Tyler and a specialist in diseases that affect the lungs, is now seeing patients in the Harold G. Habenicht Women's Center at Laird Memorial Hospital here.
Board certified in internal medicine and pulmonary disease, Dr. Coultas specializes in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pulmonary fibrosis, and occupational lung disease. Dr. Coultas, a pulmonologist, is with University Physician Associates, a physician practice associated with UT Health Center.
Before coming to the Health Center in August 2005, Dr. C o u l t a s was professor and associate chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Florida Health Sciences Center in Jacksonville, Fla.
Dr. Coultas sees patients who have been referred to him by their primary care doctors, as well as patients who need a pulmonary consultation. He is available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Tuesday at Laird Memorial Hospital in Kilgore.
