The eighth-grade versions of the Kilgore Bulldogs faced Mount Pleasant Thursday night in scrimmages at Maude Laird Middle School. The B team defeated the Tigers in the first game, and the A team lost the second game. The eighth grade squads are coached by Ronnie Hobbs. Kilgore's varsity football team hosts Mount Pleasant for homecoming tonight; kickoff is, as usual, set for 7:30 p.m.
