SHIRLEY ANN MUMPHREY

Funeral services for Shirley Ann Mumphrey, 64, of Kilgore will be 11a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2006 at Kilgore Baptist Church with Bishop Odell Lee, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Victory Funeral Services.

Shirley Mumphrey was born in Gladewater, on Feb. 2, 1942 to Travis Wady and Dolly Williams Wady. She passed away Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2006 at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview.

Throughout her adulthood, she was a dutiful wife and homemaker. She relished spending time with her grandchildren. In the late 1950s she met Robert Earl Mumphrey and married him on Feb.13, 1960. To this union seven children were born.

Her stepfather, Sam Tyeskie preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Robert Earl Mumphrey of Kilgore; her mother, Dolly Tyeskie of Longview; five daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Danny Wheat of Kilgore; Tracy and Tony Jordan of Balch Springs; Linda and Carlton Garrett of Jacksonville, FL; Robin and Benjamin Dukes of Portsmouth, VA; and LaToya and Lorenzo Price of DeSoto; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth Ray and Iris Mumphrey of Charleston, SC and Christopher and Sabrina Mumphrey of Phoenix, AZ; one sister, Betty Tyeskie of Longview; one brother, Buford Tyeskie of Longview; two half sisters, Janice Wady and Belinda Wady of Los Angeles, CA; two step sisters; two aunts; one uncle; a special friend; special sister-in-law Sandra Harris of Kilgore and a host of relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be from noon until 8 p.m. with family visitation from 7 to 8 p.m. on Friday, September 8, 2006 at Victory Funeral Services.
