Election officials named Election judges and alternate election judges for the year running August 1, 2006 to July 31, 2007 were approved by the Gregg County Commissioners County. Kathryn Nealy, elections administrator for the county said the names for the judges were submitted by both parties. In voting precincts 1 through 16, Republicans submitted the names of potential judges an Democrats the names of potential alternate judged. That was reversed in voting precincts 17 through 22 where election judged were submitted from the Democratic Party and the alternate judges by the Republican. Nealy said these are paid positions and the judges and alternates are considered employees of the county since the commissioners must approve their appointments. Ogilvie, presiding judge; Franklin L. Supercinski, alternate; Precinct 5 John Ray, presiding judge; Leila Terry, alternate; Precinct 6 C. Kyle Smith, presiding judge; Marilyn E. Dillon, alternate; Precinct 7 Gail Lester, presiding judge; Steve Crane, alternate; Precinct 8 Eileen S. Harpster, presiding judge; Jerry Van Eimeren, alternate; Precinct 8A Clif McWherter, presiding judge; Patrick L.
