JOSEPH EDWARD "JOE" CLINE Graveside services for Joseph Edward "Joe" Cline, 82, of Kilgore will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2006, at Hickory Grove Cemetery with Rev. Kelly Bryan officiating. Joe was called home to his Lord Saturday, July 1, 2006. Mr. Cline was born Sept. 11, 1923, in the Monroe community. Joe was a member of the Hickory Grove Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He never missed a chance to watch the church softball games and he loved to play his harmonica at church services. His church family loved him dearly. Joe served in the United States Navy during WWII and was a survivor of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Joe was an avid fan and supporter of the Ragin' Red for more than 30 years. On any given Friday night he could be found amid the sea of red supporting the Bulldogs. Joe loved his family and always enjoyed a good laugh. He will be greatly missed. Joe is survived by his three daughters and sons-in-law Judy and Johnny Slusser of Liberty City, Sue and Chester Odom of Overton, and Deanie and Curtis DeShazer of Liberty City; three sons and daughters-in-law James (Jim Edd) and Perk Cline of Kilgore, Douglas (Tony) and Vickie Cline of Rusk, and Thomas and Deronda Baughman of Kilgore; two sisters Viola Roberts of Memphis, Texas and Emma Lou Bramblett of Amarillo; brother William Cline of Nacogdoches; thirteen grandchildren; twentyone great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisterin law Jo Wood, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving friends and family. Joe is preceded in death by his wife Mary (Babe) Cline, grandson Ronnie Howell and parents Ed and Lelia Cline.
