ALICE SHOEMAKER DILLON

Memorial services for Alice Shoemaker Dillon, 86, of Kilgore will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 7, 2006, at the First Presbyterian Church in Kilgore, with the Reverend Dr. William J. Ingersoll and Mr. Ray D. Dillon, PhD. officiating. Mrs. Dillon passed away Thursday, June 29, 2006 in Kilgore.

Alice Dillon was born in Granbury, Texas to L.D. and Emily Shoemaker on November 23, 1919. She went to Granbury schools and graduated from Trinity University in 1939. She married Ray F. Dillon in 1942 and moved to Kilgore after he returned from WWII. Mrs. Dillon taught elementary

school in the Kilgore Independent School System for over 35 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Kilgore, serving it well, in many capacities, for over 50 years.

Mrs. Dillon is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 60 years, Ray F. Dillon, and two brothers.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law Susan Diane and Charles W. Agee of Kilgore; one son and daughter-in-law Ray D. and Sue Bradford Dillon of Hartwell, Georgia; three grandsons Jason Agee, Chris Dillon and Brad Dillon; six great grandchildren; two sisters as well as many other loving family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or the charity of choice.
