CHARLES A. RINGLER Services for Mr. Charles A. Ringler, 82, of Kilgore will be two p.m., Friday, June 9, 2006 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Newt Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Algoma Cemetery, Marshall. He passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2006 in Kilgore. He was born Dec. 26, 1923 in Marshall. Mr. Ringler graduated high school from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas. He served our country in WWII in the United States Marine Corp, 5th division, 28th regiment-weapons company. Mr. Ringler was in the invasion of Iwo Jima. After the war he earned his BSBA in Marketing from the University of Arkansas. He married Peggy Smith in 1948. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Kilgore Rotary Club, the Kilgore Chamber of Commerce and was a 32 degree Mason. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Ringler of Kilgore; a son and daughter-in-law, Don Al and Linda Ringler of Temple, Texas; granddaughter, Cecilia and her husband Dave Pellouchoud of Longmont, Colorado; one grandson; one great-granddaughter; sisterin law, Mrs. Herman A. Smith, Jr. of Harvey, LA; among several nieces and nephews are Herman Smith, III, his wife Rolly Ann and their daughter Amber of Slidell, Louisiana. The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home Thursday evening between six and seven-thirty p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the United States Marine Military Academy, 320 Iwo Jima Boulevard, Harlingen, TX, 78550 or the charity of choice.
