Grandmother of the bride-elect is Sue Lemons of Hallsville. The prospective groom is the son of April and Nathan Watson of Kilgore. Grandmothers of the prospective groom are Judy Frederick of Kilgore and Veda Watson of tyler. The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, June 17, 2006 at St. Luke's UMC. Justin is the son of Cheryl and Jack Ford of Kilgore and grandson to James and Peggy Rice of Kilgore. The bride-elect is studying Nursing at the University of Texas at Tyler on the Longview campus. The prospective groom is a Biblical Studies major at LeTourneau University and an Assistant Manager of Lifeway Christian store in Longview. The couple will exchange vows Saturday, June 10, 2006 at 3 p.m. at Kilgore Bible Church. Parents are Mechelle (Jones) Fenton (formerly of Kilgore) and Robb Fenton (Binghamton, NY) of Sacramento; CA. Grandparents are Leonard and Judy Smyth of Powell, WY (formerly of Kilgore) and Lyn Fenton from Binghamton, NY. The boys celebrated their birthday with friends and family. He celebrated with family and friends on May 14, with a Scooby Doo party at his parent's home in Kilgore. Kaden and his guests enjoyed cookie cake, ice cream and taking turns hitting a Scooby piata. Kaden is the son of Wes and Kelli Downing and little brother to Bailey Allison Downing. Grandparents are Jerry and Debbie Oglesby, Terri Downing, Danny and Marion Downing. GreatGrandparents are Allene Hassell and the late Millard Hassell, Doris Oglesby Hampton and the late Harold Oglesby, Wayne and Sue Bass, Lee and Ruth Downing, and Leroy and Emma Nell Johns. We would like to announce the Golden Anniversary for Roy and Selita Tucker of Gladewater. Mr. and Mrs. Tucker married on June 1, 1956 at the YL Union Church in Muleshoe. They were blessed with four daughters: Lavonna White of Gladewater; Marian Ferguson of Gladewater (deceased), Janiece Tucker of San Jose, CA and Becky Barker of Gladewater. Mr. Tucker graduated from Goree High School in 1947. He attended Texas Tech University studying accounting. He then honored us by serving in the Naval Reserves, and then entered into the Army with his military career spanning from 1948 to 1953. He started work for GMAC in Lubbock 1950 until retiring in 1969 to later be employed in Longview with Kar Products, Inc. from 1970 until retirement in 1996. They made their home in Gladewater in 1977. Selita Tucker graduated from Muleshoe High School in 1953 and Sam Houston State Teachers College, now known as Sam Houston University, in 1956 with a Bachelor's of Science in Home Economics and a minor in Art with a certification enabling her to teach all grade levels from Kindergarten to 12th. Becoming a bookkeeper for the next five years, she then began teaching with Sundown ISD, going to Levelland ISD, Cooper ISD, and finally at Kilgore ISD, all in the state of Texas, and retired from a total of 30 years of teaching in 1995. They enjoy a life of church devotion at Grace Baptist Temple in Kilgore, Texas as well as vegetable farming, traveling, and certainly family gatherings and holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Tucker were blessed with 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren who all reside in the East Texas area. Their family would like to thank them for a wonderful example of kindness, caring, and infinite togetherness. We love you!
