Chamber and Red Hats team up to offer 'A Day With Shakespeare'

How about spending a lovely summer afternoon with the Bard?

The Kilgore Chamber of Commerce and the Derrick Dolls Red Hats of Kilgore are presenting that experience on Thursday, July 20.

"A Day with Shakespeare" is an exciting way to spend at day at the Texas Shakespeare Festival.

For $30 a participant can start the day off at 10:15 a.m. with Raymond Caldwell, founder and artistic director of the TSF. He will present a program on "The Life and Works of Shakespeare."

Following the program, a buffet lunch will be served at The Vinery and Antiques, one of Kilgore's newest businesses. Guests will provide their own transportation to and from lunch.

At 1 p.m., visitors will tour the Shakespeare Garden just before the 1:30 p.m. pre-show introduction.

The curtain will go up on "Pericles, Prince of Tyre" at 2 p.m.
