Patrick Lamond Mumphrey

Funeral services for Patrick Lamond Mumphrey, 25, of Kilgore will be 11 a.m. May 20, 2006 at Faith Tabernacle of God in Christ with Rev. W. C. Coleman officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant CME Cemetery. Arrangements are under the directions of Victory Funeral Services.

Patrick Lamond Mumphrey, was born in Kilgore, Texas on Jan.13, 1981, the son of Troy Wheat and Marion Estell Mumphrey. He departed this life on May 12, 2006.

He attended Kilgore Public Schools where he played high school football. In his youth he participated in Little League sports until he was in the seventh grade.

In his formative years he became a member of Kilgore Baptist Church and later united with the County Line Church of the Living God.

Patrick had a great love for children, music and playing basketball. He was a loving and energetic people person, never meeting a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Annie and Chandler Mumphrey and Claude and Geraldine Wheat.

He leaves to cherish a beautiful memory, his mother, Marion Estell Mumphrey and father, Troy Wheat both of Kilgore; a son, Jalen Bell of Longview, TX; a daughter, Alexis Mumphrey of Kilgore; two sisters, Jamie Mumphrey and Sharlecia Rayson both of Kilgore; three brothers, Brandon "Markeye" Mumphrey, Troy Ladell Mumphrey and Trylon Wheat all of Kilgore, TX; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be from noon until 8 p.m. with family hour from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2006 at Victory Funeral Services.
