DARELL FORT

Services for Darell Fort of Kilgore, will be held Thursday, May 18, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Harmony Pirtle Baptist Church with Rev. Carlos Whitaker officiating, burial will follow at Pirtle cemetery under the direction of Cunningham Funeral Home. He passed away May 12, 2006 in Dallas.

He was born July 23. 1949 to Harold and Rubye Hilburn Fort in Henderson. He attended Kilgore High School, Tyler Jr. College and Kilgore Jr. College.

He joined Harmony Pirtle Baptist Church at age six and remained a faithful member.

He served in the U. S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He worked at General Electric Company inTyler.

He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and Paralyzed Veterans of America.

He was preceded in death by his father Harold Fort Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Rubye J. Fort of Kilgore; one son, Darell Eugene Fort Jr. of Dallas; one daughter, Tanya Renee' March of Tyler; two brothers, Harold Fort Jr. (Alleen) of Houston, Ricky D. Fort (Glenda) of Kilgore; two grandsons of Tyler and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.
