JOHN FITZPATRICK
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. John was born in San Antonio, on September 28, 1959. He was a partner with the law firm of Coghlan, Crowson, Fitzpatrick, Westbrook and Worthington in Longview. John was admitted to the bar in 1988. John graduated from the University of Texas (B.B.A., cum laude, 1983) and then went on to law school graduating from Texas Tech University (J.D. 1988). He was admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern District of Texas. Member: American Bar Association; State Bar of Texas; and Gregg County Bar Association. John was the past President and Board member of Longview Habitat for Humanity. Past board member of Teen Court and a member of the Longview Bicycle Club. John enjoyed spending time with his running group and riding bicycles with his riding group. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife; Lori Fitzpatrick of Kilgore, mother; Patsy Fitzpatrick of Atlanta, GA, father; John Fitzpatrick of San Antonio; grandmother, Laura Ramsey of Longview, step-sons; Hunter and Garrett Wood both of Kilgore, Godson; Blaine Davis Balliett of Longview, brothers, Frank Richard Fitzpatrick of Dallas and Mark Daniel Fitzpatrick of Atlanta, GA; sister, Cynthia Louise Joynt of Atlanta, GA; mother-in-law and father-inlaw, Bobby and Lujean Nichols of Lake Cherokee; special friend Diane MacFarlane of Longview; several nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends.
