NET RMA to meet on Tuesday

The North East Texas Regional Mobility Authority (NET RMA) will meet Tuesday, May 2, at 2 p.m. in the in the Gregg County Commissioners' Courtroom at Gregg County Courthouse, 101 N. Methvin.

Members are expected to conduct an executive session to consider some personnel issues.

The NET RMA board is in the process of determining qualifications for a project director and consider action necessary to select co-financial adviser services.

Other business scheduled include possible amendments to the bylaws t o allow for additional counties joining the RMA. Harrison and Upshur counties have indicated a desire to join the organization.

Other agenda items include:

 Consideration of request for quotation for General Legal Counsel Services;

 Discussion on 90-day plan and work authorization order on Loop 49 Project;

 Consideration of developing policies concerning Internet privacy, usage policy and site disclaimer ;

 Consideration of a tolling policy, records retention policy and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Policy;

 Hear updates on Open Records training, the East Texas Hourglass, Update on Loop 49,

Hwy. 42 from Hwy. 31 to Hwy. 80, Hwy. 42/Richey Road (Hwy. 80 north to Richey Road and Richey Road East);

 Discussion on East Texas Railways and ROW in East Texas:

 Consider action necessary to name new chairman of East Texas Hourglass Subcommittee;

 Consider action necessary to apply for a pass-through financing application for the Hwy. 42/Richey Road Expansion

 Discussion and update on future Toll Equity Grant(s); and

 Discussion on a future workshop to review and update the strategic plan with new personnel, counties and TxDOT.
