KHPF presents Dr. McDonald

The Kilgore Historical Preservation Foundation is proud to present Dr. Archie McDonald to present A Musical History of World War II.

Gem Meacham, community involvement committee for KHPF said McDonald will be appearing at the Kilgore High School cafeteria on May 4 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. as part of a May celebration of historical preservation month in Kilgore.

Meacham said the event is open to the public and there is no cost to attend. Refreshments will be served.

McDonald is a retired history professor, author of "All Things Historical" a syndicated newspaper column and has a weekly feature on Red River Radio.

Meacham said also in honor of preservation month the derrick stars will be lit from dark until dawn during May, the vintage fashion show on May 11 and Cool Jazz in the World's Richest Acre Park on May 18.
