Funeral services for Evelyn Kennedy Smith of Inglewood CA. are set for Tuesday April 25, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Manchester Blvd. Inglewood Funeral home in Inglewood, CA., with the Rev. Willis Agusta Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in the Inglewood Memorial Park in CA.

Mrs. Kennedy, a Native of Overton (Rusk Co.) was born Dec. 19, 1924 to the late Leon and Helen Kennedy. She attended Rusk Co. Public School and graduated North Chapel High School of Kilgore.

She was a Baptist and lifelong member of the Elbthel Baptist Church of Overton.

She is survived by three sons, Leon Kennedy, Howard Kennedy both of Overton, and Harold Kennedy of Los Angeles, CA; one sister, Leora Malone of Los Angeles, CA; one brother, Rev. Willis A. Kennedy of Los Angeles, CA; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
