"The kids really came on at the District Meet," said Hammontree said. "The girls were tied with Trinidad coming into the 1600 meter relay and won by about one minute. "
This is the fourth consecutive year, Hammontree noted, that the junior high girls and boys have won the district meet. The coaches, he said, are very proud of the hard work and effort the kids showed over the season. Rickey Hammontree and Matt Everett, the school's football coach, are Hammontree's assistant coaches.
