KILGORE SOCCER ASSOCIATION ROUNDUP EDITOR'S NOTE: This is the report from last weekend's action in the Kilgore Soccer Association (KSA), which plays its games at the youth soccer and softball complex on SH 135 each Saturday. The information here is taken from reports given to the Kilgore News Herald by the coaches of the various KSA teams. Names are spelled and facts are listed exactly as they are submitted on the reports. Also, not every age group in the KSA keeps score. If a score is not listed, then it either wasn't kept or wasn't included as part of the game sheet. The KSA report, when all possible, will run every Thursday. The deadline for submitting game sheets is Monday at 5 p.m. This is a hard deadline. Reports may be brought by the News Herald office (at 610 East Main Street), faxed in (at (903) 984-7462) or e-mailed to the sports desk (at sports@kilgorenewsherald. com). Under-6 boys Mighty Ducks vs. Bone Crushers: Kaleb Jett, Trea'Drick Clayton, Khalon Clayton, and Logan Davis scored for the Ducks. Defensive standouts were Brady Powers, Cody Scoggins, Derion Thurmond and Justin Henderson. The Ducks are sponsored by Maverick Technical Systems and coached by Angela Mapps. Under-6 girls Grasshoppers vs. Baby Dolls: The 'Hoppers got a goal from Makayla Rojas, and Carley Gaudet and Gracie Thompson also stood out offensively. Rilee Bennett, Libby Crawford and Lauren Bryant played well on defense. The Grasshoppers are coached by Brad Bryant and Kevin Crawford, and sponsored by OSU, Inc. Grasshoppers vs. Blue Flash: Carley Gaudet and Makayla Rojas stood out on offense; Lauren Bryant, Rilee Bennett, Libby Crawford and Gracie Thompson on defense. Under-8 boys Demons vs. unnamed opponent: The Demons got three goals from Austin Word and Jacob Mobbs, with assists by Ren Reynelds and Jesse Zavala. Great defense, coach Mason Reynolds said, was played by Jerrod Sosa, Be'la Free, Jake Rockett, Hunter Cherry.
