LeTourneau hosts workshop for daycare staffers

LONGVIEW -LeTourneau University will host an early childhood workshop for teachers and daycare workers who teach children ages 2 to 6 on April 22, in the Education Building at LeTourneau University, 2100 S. Mobberly Ave.

The workshop, sponsored by Leap Frog, runs from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and provides continuing education units.

The workshop will provide participants with teacher-made activities created in their breakout sessions that they can use in their classrooms.

Registration is $25.

Breakout sessions will be led by childcare experts, including one on "Cognitive, Social and Emotional Development of the Young Child."
