Karen (Oller) Antin Hoyne
It is with deep sorrow that we, the extended family of Karen Anne Oller of Kilgore, must announce that on last Thursday, March 23rd, 2006, that our Lord and Savior summoned our beloved Karen (age 53) to be with Him.
Born in Marshall, Texas in 1953, to proud parents Zelma B. (Zebo) Oller and Amandae Ree (Kennedy) Oller, Karen graduated from Marshall High School, attended Kilgore College, was chosen as a Kilgore College cheerleader and continued her education in Kansas City, Missouri; graduating with an RN degree in nursing. After many years of nursing others back to health, Karen succumbed to the devastation of acute pneumonia and died peacefully under the care of her former colleagues at Good Shepherd Hospital in Longview, Texas.
Karen was a very loved, only child and was preceded in death by her parents; her paternal grandparents, Sylvester G. Oller, Jr. and Eulah Calhoun Oller of Cotton Valley, Louisiana and her maternal grandparents, Jessie Lee and Lillie Edna (Watson) Kennedy.
Survivors include her husband, David Richard Hoyne, numerous first cousins, aunts, uncles, her pet Schnouser "girls" Mandy and Sassie, and her many friends.
Karen's cousin, Carolyn Michaels from Minden, Louisiana will be conducting a memorial service this Sunday, April 2nd at 2:00 PM at the gravesite of Karen's parents in Colonial Gardens Cemetery in Marshall, Texas.
Farewell sweet Karen. You have crossed the tide now. Your laboring here is o're. In God's sweet love, you now abide. With Him.......... forever more.
