VERA NIX

Services for Mrs. Vera Nix, 81, of Kilgore will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at Two O'clock in the afternoon in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Kilgore with the Reverend Steve Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Danville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 21, 2006, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. Mrs. Nix passed away Sunday at her home in Kilgore.

She was born March 21, 1924 in Kilgore daughter of the late Charlie and Jesse Duncan Crews. Mrs. Nix was a homemaker and a member of Forest Home Baptist Church. Her family will always remember her has a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.

Vera Nix is survived by her three sons, Charles Nix of Kilgore, Oddie and wife Deann Nix of Henderson, Ronnie and wife Theresa Nix of Kilgore; five daughters, Sandra Bill of Kilgore, Linda Foxworth and husband Danny of Kilgore, Shirley Curlee and husband Bill of Kilgore, Dian Patterson and husband Wayne of Kilgore and Claudette and husband James Thompson of New London; 20 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Travis Crews and Malcolm Crews both of Kilgore. She was preceded in death by her husband Claude Nix and two granddaughters Stacie Curlee and Crystal Foxworth

Pallbearers will be Michael Thompson, Chris Thompson, Danny Foxworth, Billy Curlee, Jason Nix and Mark Foxworth. Honorary Pallbearers will be Charles Nix, Jr., Buddy Jobe and Jake Watson.
