A dash of green with some fish & prayers. Mix well.
CHITCHAT CORNER
Kilgoreite Sonja Kelly was the grand prize winner at the Ebony Fashion Show held in Longview last week. She won two airline tickets from American Airlines. The tickets are good for any place she wants to go. Sonja works at Kilgore National Bank and is a member of the Habitat for Humanity. (Boy, can that girl pull out a bent nail.) Stories to tell will definitely be coming in from BJ Clark. He and his brother Bobby held a fish fry Friday evening for the Singles Group, friends and members of First Baptist Church. These two know how to put on a fish fry, but they also know how to stir the waters... Sage advice from Mabel Clark in regards to home remedies: "Sometimes they work and sometimes they kill you." (Never thought of it quite like that before.) Holding her breath and requesting prayers is Deborah Brim. Her son, is a serviceman in the U.S. Army. Nineteen-year-old Private Tommy Brim is stationed at Fort Lee in Virginia and is awaiting orders for Iraq. He should be leaving about midsummer and has this mother dreading the day. Another service mom holding her breath is Melba Burns. She had to split shift with her son the last few weeks. He had one week of leave with his father and one week with her. Nineteen year old Christopher Lance Griffin is a naval air traffic controller. After his leave, he was sent back to San Diego to await orders. Iraq is definitely part of the itinerary. A raffle is taking place for KHS After Prom Party. Drawing will be held for a $200 Wal-Mart gift card on April 10. For more information see or call Sharon Breedlove at the Kilgore Chamber of Commerce. The prom party is scheduled for May 6th. Special prayers continue to go out to Mary Lynn Latham, Betty Baker and Linda Niles. May His Love and Laughter fill Your Hearts and Homes Throughout The Week.
