HOLD ONTO YOUR HATS

The East Texas Christian School of Church on the Rock toured Kilgore City Hall, the Kilgore Police Department and station one of the Kilgore Fire Department. Mayor Joe T. Parker has, for six years, been the 'adopted leader' for the second grade class at ETCS. The tour with the second grade class was conducted by Parker and the class was led by their teacher, Liz Boren. Michael Stanley, firefighter from station one demonstrated different pieces of equipment and the students got to ask questions and look through a fire truck or two. Students also learned about the different functions of city hall and Officer Richard Stanley gave the class a tour of the police department.
